Joomla or WordPress for A Bahamian Business

Joomla or WordPress for A Bahamian Business

There are a lot of articles and reviews explaining pros and cons of Joomla and Word press, the two most popular CMS platforms. Do you know the WordPress was originally designed as a blogging platform then later acquired CMS capabilities where as Joomla always been a true content management system. 242design uses Joomla basically do anything that a user wants, especially when add-ons are used to their full extent. Joomla has a learning curve set at a much more technologically-oriented level. On the other hand WordPress was a software that faced the maximum number of hacks and security issues, of course WordPress improved a lot in this regard. The core- code of Joomla, built on PHP and MySQL is considered largely safe and secure, the current version of the software being Joomla 2.5. Again, there is no right or wrong CMS in the general sense.
There is only what is best for your business and your website. For large corporations or businesses that need room for growth, customizations, flexibility and multi-level user access in various website areas, Joomla might be the better way to go, so long as website managers take the time to apply SEO where necessary. For those who want to self-manage their CMS, need a certain level or network of administrative users, organic SEO friendliness, and can benefit from the simplicity it offers, WordPress is the way to go. Please let us know what is your choice?
