A New Year in the Father's Business Each year comes to us with new possibilities and new challenges. Everyone is given another 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8760 hours, 525,600 minutes and 31,536,000 seconds as we call the year 2019. How we use our time is up to us. I wish all of us to use our time wisely. Personally, I wish to see this year to be a year that you will take over your city, your God-given assignment. I hope this message and study will help you know the will of God in your life. A small town boy goes to visit a big city. It’s a magic place, with lots of things that he doesn’t see every day. Tall buildings, crowds moving quickly, fascinating Jerusalem temple, which is about 15 stories high, made of white marble and decorated inside and out with gold leaf. Everywhere is in a festive mode. It was the Passover and the feast of unleavened bread, which last for 8 days. Everybody wanted to get to Jerusalem, everyone wanted to spend Passover in Jerusalem, and so the closer you got to the city, the more people were on the road, and the slower went the journey. They had to walk around 80 plus miles. The calculated flying distance from Nazareth to Jerusalem is equal to 64 miles and if you want to go by car, the driving distance between Nazareth to Jerusalem is 90miles. Elevation of Nazareth is 349.05 meters or 1145.18 feet and the elevation of Jerusalem is 779.45 meters or 2557.26 feet, which is a difference of 430.4 meters or 1412.08 feet. So, Luke, the writer says: they went up to the festival.
